We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this October with a special exhibition and unique charity event ten for 10 in aid of Brighton-based charity drop4drop.
Ten of our star artists have each donated an original piece of art, with raffle tickets at just £10! Paintings are valued from £300 to £1000, so ten for 10 offers the chance to own an artwork for a fraction of the price, whilst contributing to a worthwhile cause.
drop4drop is a hugely important charity working with people that have no access to clean water. It runs projects that, for as little as £1, can provide a person with safe, clean drinking water for life. Over one billion people in the world do not have access to any clean water. drop4drop’s mission is to help alleviate the global water crisis, by giving individuals and businesses the opportunity to offset their water consumption, delivering efficient and accountable clean water projects across the developing world.
Through ten for 10, we hope to raise enough money to fund a well for the Chennavaram community in East India who currently have to walk 2km every day to collect contaminated water from unprotected sources.
Prize paintings have been generously donated by artists Yvonne Coomber, Louise Brooks, Nick Vivian, Philippe Aird, Tina Davies, Maureen Greenwood, Lisa Ridgers, Natasha Barnes, Deborah Flueeler-Jones and David Walker.
The ten prize pieces will be on display in the gallery from 28th September with raffle tickets available to purchase in the gallery or online on our website.
The raffle will close on Monday October 14th and winners will be announced via the art at five website on Tuesday 22nd.
10th anniversary celebrations will take place at the gallery over the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October, and a new collection of artwork by the ten donating artists will be exhibited alongside the prize paintings!
