Sarah Pye has been painting landscapes for 10 years and is a self-taught, continually evolving artist who is inspired by the sea, land, trees, flowers and the huge diversity of nature and life itself.
Sarah grew up on Cornish and Devonshire beaches and those images stayed with her and remain the prime inspiration for her coastal pieces.
Sarah’s abstract landscape art is heavily diffused with bright sunlight, plant life and vibrant flowers. As a professional gardener for over 15 years, Sarah has derived immense pleasure from creating wild, loose, impressionist, landscapes and gardens, using heavily textured acrylics, vivid colours and dappled lights to create her dream vistas.
“My interpretation of nature, painting loosely and intuitively, with reference to my imagination and out of door experiences. Reflecting light and life, hoping to encourage your mind to explore a little further than the obvious view that you initially see.”
Sarah was featured on TV as a Finalist in BBC 2 ’Show Me The Monet’ 2012
