We are delighted to welcome two fantastic artists to the Art5 Gallery fold, Ben Payne and Lorna Holdcroft!
Ben’s work is influenced by his previous career in Behavioural Therapy, in which he worked with young children with autism. This has lent an acute sense of innocence to his paintings, something which sets him apart from many of his contemporaries. His use of acrylics in a loose and fluid style creates his beautiful floral scenes, and his work is in collections in the UK and the Middle East.
Lorna takes inspiration from the world around her to create wonderfully textured and colourful landscapes. Now residing in Sussex, Lorna uses the inspiration of rolling hills and wildlife in her painting. Lorna likes to experiment with contrasts in her work, pushing pigments across the canvas to evoke a sense of emotion, and using bold washes and thick textured brush marks.
